Student Advisory Board
Influence is a collaborative organization whose goals are to create better opportunities for Indigenous post-secondary students, and to create opportunities for mentors to raise their awareness of Indigenous realities, culture, and history. Culture, traditions, spirituality, teachings, and stories have all been shared and best understood through the Elder - protégé relationship. This transference of knowledge has been integral to Indigenous ways of knowing and being. It is also a core building block of the Influence Mentoring brand.

To grow our knowledge of the needs and wants of post-secondary students and how we can best serve them with mentors, workshops, and support.
Thank you for your interest in the Influence Mentoring Society’s Student Advisory Board Grant where you can contribute toward improving career possibilities for Indigenous students. This Advisory Board will provide Influence Mentoring with relevant information, observations on current needs and knowledge about the realities faced by today’s post-secondary students.
